The Southwest’s premier funk outfit, Skinitght delivers the fat grooves you’ve been waiting all week for!

In April 2006 Bryan Ugalde (drums) and Paul Haywood (sax & vocals) got together after a break from gigging together in Full Tilt Boogie and started a studio project with the aim of writing and playing tunes that groove. The band has evolved from studio to live work blending original material with their own arrangements of some classic covers.

Influences are wide and varied, and include The Meters, Tower of Power, Maceo Parker, The Commodores, Ohio Players, James Brown, Kool and the Gang, Del la Soul & Stevie Wonder.

The current line up includes Chris Burton (keys & vocals) Jamie Crowle (Guitar) and Jimi Galvin (bass). To date Skin Tight Funk has built a reputation for writing and performing some truly amazing tunes that grip their audiences and fill them with the same stuff that fuels this band……………..FUNK.

Their musicianship is tight and tracks such as “Ain’t got no change left” “My way” and the anthemic “Rip the Tower” have been getting rave reviews and form a part of their long awaited L.P. Skin Tight are regarded as the band to check out in the South West and regularly headline surf festivals on the north coast such as surf relief @ Watergate Bay, and pro tour events @ Fistral beach, Newquay.

The band is looking forward to more festivals, finishing the album and doing what they do best………..lay down a big fat groove to make you move.
